Dear Kiddo,

Today, while mom was sleeping you woke up, got yourself breakfast and used this "convenient" alone time to log right onto moms computer, without asking - without supervision, ALL so that mom could sleep in a little bit longer.

Thank you for that

Today when I tried to catch up on that show I really like, you only interrupted 62 times. You helped me enjoy that show so much longer than I normally do.

Thank you for that.

Today when I asked you to stop seeing how fast you could run from the kitchen to the living room, over and over and over, you stopped immediately- after asking three times and just as soon as I made that face you hate.

Thank you for that.

Today when I told you that you needed to brush your teeth you did NOT say "Oh, what, you think I stink, mom?!"

Thank you for that.

I love you, Kiddo.

Under the Weather

Ayden caught a bug. A gross bug. A bug that made him sick for 2 days. A bug that made me almost sick. But not because I was catching it, but because I don't do so well with the expulsion of bodily fluids and the like.

When this kid gets sick he is so good. He's not whiny or sad. He just lays there and tells people how much he loves them and that he hopes he doesn't give them his sickness. He just lays there and asks for things like "quiet" and "hugs" and "coffee". He means tea, I promise.

His First Forgery

I pulled out Ayden's books and sign off sheet last night to check off his reading. Strangely, it had already been signed. But not by me.

I have to say, I'm quite impressed with his work.
